Letting Go and Creating Real Momentum for 2026
Every year asks something different of you. Some years say build. Some say hold the line. And some years—like the Year of the Snake—say: Drop the dead weight or suffocate. No affirmations. No soft launches. Just the truth. Because you cannot move forward while dragging around a life that already expired.
The Year of the Snake: Shedding Is Survival, Not Self-Help
A snake doesn’t journal about its skin. It doesn’t wonder if it might need it later. It doesn’t keep it around out of nostalgia or guilt.
It sheds—or it fucking dies. That’s the energy of the Snake. Not glow-ups. Not rebrands. Not pretending you’re evolving while staying exactly the same.
This year asks you to cut loose:
Identities that once protected you but now cage you
Commitments you resent but keep performing like a champ
Habits that numb instead of nourish
Stories about who you’re supposed to be by now
If it drains your body, dulls your presence, or keeps you playing small—it’s done. Stop negotiating with it.
Let’s Be Honest: What the Fuck Are You Still Carrying?
Unwanted things don’t always scream. Sometimes they whisper:
“Just get through it.”
“It’s not that bad.”
“Other people have it worse.”
Cool. Still killing your energy. If something costs you your integrity, your nervous system, or your aliveness—it’s too fucking expensive. The Snake doesn’t ask if something is impressive. It asks if it’s necessary. Anything else gets shed.
Shedding Feels Empty Because It Is
Here’s where most people fuck it up. They let go… and immediately rush to fill the space. New goals. New drama. New obligations. Same exhaustion. Shedding doesn’t create momentum. It creates space. And space feels quiet. Unfamiliar. A little terrifying.
Good.
That’s the doorway. Sit there longer than feels comfortable.
The Year of the Fire Horse: Momentum Is a Commitment, Not a Mood
Then comes the Fire Horse: fast, untamed, all gas, no apologies. The Fire Horse doesn’t wait until you’re healed, confident, or certain. It moves because staying still burns worse than the risk. Momentum in 2026 won’t come from hustle culture bullshit. It will come from clean energy—energy no longer siphoned into resentment, people-pleasing, or half-assed yeses.
Fire wants direction, not perfection.
From Shedding to Fire: Three No-Bullshit Shifts
1. Choose Less—and Mean It
More options = more leakage.
Choose fewer things, then show the fuck up.
Fire needs focus.
2. Let Desire Drive (Not Guilt or Obligation)
If your life is built entirely on what you should do, don’t be shocked when it feels heavy as hell.
Desire isn’t reckless. It’s honest.
Follow what wakes you up. Starve what drains you.
3. Move Before You Feel Ready
Waiting for clarity is often just fear in a nicer outfit.
Momentum is made in motion.
Take the step. Course-correct later.
